At Gary Cooper Paving, we know that every project has a purpose. Sometimes it’s about creating a beautiful driveway, and sometimes it’s about making everyday life easier.
Earlier this month, we completed this bespoke disabled access project, designed to provide safe, comfortable and practical access from the driveway to the homeowner’s front door.
The project features a generous 1.5m x 1.5m level platform outside the entrance, creating plenty of space for wheelchair users or those with limited mobility to manoeuvre safely. From there, a carefully designed gradual gradient leads seamlessly into the rest of the access, ensuring the route is both comfortable and easy to use.
The paving was constructed using Brett Alpha Flow in Autumn Gold, complemented with a smart Charcoal border. As with all Brett Alpha Flow installations, the surface is 100% permeable, allowing rainwater to drain naturally through the paving and helping to reduce surface water.
Projects like this are incredibly rewarding because they go far beyond improving the appearance of a property.
