One of the most important components of your paving is the drainage. In times of heavy rainfall this system can be overloaded and cause flooding. This has resulted in changes to Government legislation. You need to decide how you manage the rainwater that falls on your driveway. You may direct the water to another area in your garden which may involve using a drainage channel and a soak away under your garden. You can use permeable paving or you can make no provision at all, but you will need PLANNING PERMISSION from your local authority.
